About Us

Community volunteers in Bradford and Tioga Counties, advocating for children in court who have experienced neglect and abuse.

Our Local Affiliate

CYAN of the Northern Tier advances the health, safety, and wellness of children experiencing neglect and abuse in Pennsylvania by empowering Judicial Child Advocates. These community volunteers, appointed by judges, are the most effective tool to ensure children are on the path to permanency.

Part of the Keystone Advocacy Initiative

We are a Keystone Advocacy Initiative program of CYAN of Pennsylvania, the state office. CYAN of Pennsylvania employs our staff and provides accounting, grants administration, technology, advocacy standards, and continuous quality improvement, so our team can focus on what matters most: recruiting volunteers, supporting advocates, and serving children in Bradford and Tioga Counties.

Rooted in Our Community

As a Keystone Advocacy Initiative program, we stay rooted in Bradford and Tioga Counties. We build relationships with the courts, agencies, and community partners here, lead local volunteer recruitment and community engagement, and support local fundraising. We became CYAN of the Northern Tier on November 5, 2026.

Read our mission and history

It only takes one advocate to impact a child. We know this to be true.

The stories prove it. We hear them every day, from stakeholders who see firsthand how a home visit or court report can change a child’s circumstances for the better. And the data proves it. Children assigned a CYAN Judicial Child Advocate are 88% less likely to re-enter the care system.

Every Child Deserves an Advocate.

Children in Bradford and Tioga Counties are waiting for someone in their corner. You could be that person.
